天下沒有不散的筵席

這篇要得中文寫。

My smart, kind, charming, Italian boss is leaving. 剩下的大頭們不是沒什麼用就是不在意下屬。

I am very happy for her because it's a great opportunity. 她走了以後組的結構會有很大變動。

I feel I am very lucky to have her for the past two years. 我們的大老闆不想她走。留在這個部門對她來說沒什麼前途。

At least she is still with the same company and I can still see her once in a while. 我留下來也沒什麼前途，大老闆知道我們這種要簽證的走不了。

But it will still be different. I learned a lot from her professionally and personally.
加上一直出差的生活，這兩年來身體明顯走下坡。

I wish her the best for her new position and hope I will get to work with her again.
在這景氣不好的時候，有工作就是福氣。身為外勞，選擇不多。

Women in Compliance Roundtable

I attended a professional meeting held by a prestigious national law firm. The attendees are wowen in compliance fields, such as attorneys, auditors, forensic accountants, government officials...etc. Most of the speakers have legal background and are pretty successful in their career. I admired their eloquence. The words they chose, the structure of the sentences they used to describe a complex scheme, and the logical flow of the narration all and all demonstrated their exceptional speaking skills and depth of their professional knowledge. I felt the meeting feeling inspired and passionate. I always have a heart in legal field. Although I don't think it's feasible to apply for a law school in this point of my life, sometimes I still dream about it:P

Places I want to go with Tsao

We created this blog right after we got married in 2007. It's hard to believe that two years have passed since then. We are happily married:-)

Because my work requires a lot of travels and Tsao is away for internships every summer, it turns out we don't get see each other almost six months out of a year! Some people say it's the way to keep your marriage fresh. But I don't know. I look forward to the finishing line of the semi-long-distance life.

I tried to arrange "side trips" in my business trips whever is possible. However, I am saving some places where I want to visit with my lovely hubby:

1. Barcelona, Spain
2. Rome, Italy
3. Prague, Czech Republic

Places I have been but going with Tsao will be a totally different experience:

1. Paris, France
2. Tokyo, Japan
3. Hong Kong

Cow flies!

My mother bought a stuffed cow for us since Pauline uses "cow" as my nickname.

He can fly!
